Lavelle Deharon Jackson, a 33-year-old resident of Minneapolis, was tragically shot multiple times on October 4, 2020. The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. in a duplex located in the 4300 block of South 46th Avenue in the Longfellow neighborhood. Jackson was found in critical condition and was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries approximately an hour later.
The initial investigation revealed that a dispute had escalated into a shooting.
The suspect fled the scene before the police arrived, and no arrests were made immediately following the incident. However, further investigation led to the identification and arrest of Buay D. Duol, a 23-year-old Minneapolis resident. Duol was charged with second-degree intentional murder in connection with the shooting.
