On a summer evening in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the life of 50-year-old Carl L. Putmon Jr., a Black male, was tragically cut short. On August 8, 2021, at the intersection of 12th Avenue South and East Lake Street, Putmon sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
Emergency services transported him to the Hennepin Healthcare emergency room, but his injuries proved fatal, and he was pronounced dead at 5:45 PM that same day.
