On the evening of September 14, 2021, Harvey Jay Williams, a 29-year-old Black/African American man, was driving in North Minneapolis when his life was tragically cut short. Williams, a beloved and influential teacher at the KIPP Minneapolis Legacy Campus, was a man with a personal mission to positively impact the lives of his students and the young men in his community.
