In the quiet frontier territory of early 20th century America, the life of a dedicated lawman was tragically cut short, leaving a legacy of duty and sacrifice. Deputy U.S. Marshal John Henry Vier, a White/Caucasian male, met his untimely end on February 20, 1905.
