Leandre Cooper, age 38, was shot and killed along with his younger brother, Demetrius Cooper, age 35, on August 6, 2013, in Chicago. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning in the West Pullman neighborhood, specifically in the 100 block of East 120th Street. The brothers were found shot in the head inside a car, and both were pronounced dead at the scene. The tragic deaths of the Cooper brothers were part of a violent stretch that deeply affected their family and community.
