Lelyn Paul Betts, a 43-year-old White/Caucasian male, passed away on Friday, October 2, 2015, in Coldwater, Kansas. Born in Garden City, Kansas, on March 10, 1972, he was a member of the Bible Christian Church in his hometown. On the night of his death, at approximately 11:00 pm, the Comanche County Sheriff's Office and the Coldwater Police Department responded to a call concerning a man with a gunshot wound. Upon their arrival, they discovered that Lelyn Betts had been fatally shot.
