In the quiet, rural landscape of Fredonia, Kansas, a tragic event unfolded on November 2, 2015, shattering the peace of the community. On that day, 19-year-old Jacob Traylor, a White male, was found deceased at his home. The discovery was made after authorities were called to the residence to perform a welfare check.
Upon entering the home, law enforcement found a grim scene. Jacob was not alone. Alongside him were the bodies of his 43-year-old mother, Eva Michelle Blevins, and his 43-year-old stepfather, Russell Scott Blevins. All three had succumbed to gunshot wounds.
