On a summer afternoon, a trip to the laundromat turned into a scene of tragedy. Jeffrey Whitmore, a 43-year-old Black / African American man, was shot and killed on July 2, 2017, in Kansas City, Kansas. The incident occurred at approximately 3:40 p.m. outside a laundromat situated in the 4800 block of Parallel Parkway.
