In the early moments of a Monday morning, on July 6, 2020, the life of a young Black/African American man, 20-year-old Broderick W. Lloyd II, was tragically cut short in Wichita, Kansas. He was a passenger in a vehicle heading east on Kellogg Street when the night was shattered by the sound of gunfire. An unknown individual, or perhaps more than one, opened fire on the vehicle, striking both Lloyd and the 21-year-old man who was with him.
