Death by Force

In the early morning hours of June 30, 2018, Michael Ray Maxwell, a 29-year-old Black male, was found deceased in his vehicle in Wichita, Kansas. The car was parked on the street in the 1500 block of South Water when the fatal incident occurred at approximately 2 a.m. An investigation determined that an individual inside an SUV had pulled up alongside Maxwell's vehicle and fired multiple rounds, striking and killing him. The suspect vehicle then fled the scene, heading southbound.
