In the fading afternoon light of October 15, 2021, the life of 21-year-old DeSabian Williams, a Black male, was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire at an apartment complex in Wichita, Kansas. The incident, which also left two other men wounded, unfolded around 4 p.m. in the 600 block of South Eastern, near the busy intersection of Kellogg and Rock Road, prompting a flurry of 911 calls from concerned residents who reported hearing gunshots.
