In the early hours of April 20, 2022, the quiet streets of Salina, Kansas, were disturbed by what appeared to be a single-vehicle accident. Responding to the call around 12:25 a.m., officers arrived at the intersection of Front Street and Gypsum Avenue to find a green 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis. Inside, they made a grim discovery that would quickly pivot their investigation from a traffic incident to a homicide.
