In the autumn of 2022, the life of 23-year-old Keith K. Gaylord, a Black male, was tragically cut short in Topeka, Kansas. On the morning of Friday, September 30, 2022, police were called to the Meadowlark Apartments at 1621 S.W. 37th Terrace following multiple reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Gaylord in the parking lot with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
