On March 12, 2015, Christopher Adams, a 20-year-old resident of Washington, D.C., was found shot to death in his car at the intersection of 8th and Jefferson Streets NW in the Brightwood Park neighborhood. The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. when Adams, who had just dropped off a friend, was surrounded by four individuals.
