On September 11, 2015, William Thomas Wilson Jr., aged 57, was fatally shot by a security officer at Washington, D.C.'s Union Station. The incident occurred after Wilson allegedly stabbed and wounded a woman during a domestic dispute. According to the District of Columbia police, Wilson was chased and shot by the security officer after he pointed a knife at the officer and lunged forward.
