On a Tuesday afternoon, the 6th of November, 2018, the life of 22-year-old Gibril Turner was tragically cut short in Washington, D.C. The incident occurred at approximately 2:05 p.m. in the 3900 block of Southern Avenue, Southeast, where Mr. Turner was shot and killed. This senseless act of violence left a community in mourning and a family grappling with a profound loss.
