On January 26, 2019, at approximately 10:00 p.m., Javon Abney, age 26, was tragically killed in a shooting that occurred in the 1500 block of Fort Davis Place SE, Washington, D.C. Abney was one of three victims, alongside Sean Shuler, also 26, and Tyrik Hagood, 24. The three men were lured to a quiet, dead-end street where they were shot multiple times by gunmen.
