In the summer of 2019, an 11-year-old boy named Karon Brown was fatally shot in Southeast Washington, D.C. The incident, which occurred on July 18, unfolded after Karon became involved in a dispute with a group of adults and other children. As the conflict escalated, a Good Samaritan intervened, placing Karon in a car to remove him from the situation.
