On September 15, 2019, Lamont Munden, a 20-year-old resident of Southeast, Washington, DC, was fatally shot in the unit block of 35th Street, Northeast. At approximately 5:59 PM, officers from the Sixth District responded to reports of gunshots in the area. Upon arrival, they discovered Munden unconscious and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite being transported to a nearby hospital, Munden succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead shortly after.
