In the early evening hours of Sunday, September 15, 2019, a burst of gunfire shattered the late summer calm in the unit block of 35th Street, Northeast, in Washington, D.C. When officers from the Sixth District arrived at the scene around 5:59 p.m. following reports of gunshots, they discovered a young man lying unconscious, having suffered from multiple gunshot wounds.
