In the early hours of a summer morning in Washington, D.C., the life of 17-year-old Christopher Popi Brown was cut short by a hail of gunfire. On August 9, 2020, Brown was one of hundreds of people who had gathered for a block party in the 3300 block of Dubois Place, Southeast.
