In the autumn of 2022, a burst of gunfire shattered the early afternoon calm in the nation's capital, leaving four men wounded and one fighting for his life. The incident unfolded on Thursday, October 6, 2022, at approximately 1:07 p.m. in the 1200 block of North Capitol Street, Northwest. When first responders arrived at the scene, they found four adult males conscious and breathing, all suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
