In the early morning hours of October 16, 2022, violence erupted in the 2500 block of Pomeroy Road, Southeast, Washington, D.C., leaving 32-year-old Jamontate Brown, a male of no fixed address, dead from multiple gunshot wounds. The Metropolitan Police Department responded to a report of gunshots at approximately 12:10 a.m. and discovered Brown unconscious on a sidewalk. Emergency services arriving at the scene found no signs of life, and he was pronounced dead.
