In the early evening of Friday, May 29, 2020, the sounds of gunshots shattered the quiet of a Southeast Washington, D.C. neighborhood. When officers from the Seventh District arrived at the 3000 block of 30th Street, Southeast, at approximately 6:23 p.m., they found a young man suffering from a gunshot wound.
