On October 12, 2003, at approximately 3:35 a.m., Tirrell Smith was found stabbed to death in the 900 block of F Street NW, Washington, D.C. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to the scene following reports of an incident, and Smith was discovered fatally wounded. The circumstances leading up to the stabbing remain unclear, and no suspects have been publicly identified since the incident. The case continues to be actively investigated by the Violent Crimes Branch of the MPD.
