On the evening of September 9, 2014, the life of 23-year-old Derrell Martrise Carr, a Black male, was violently ended in a shooting at a Las Vegas apartment complex. The incident occurred at the Harbor Island Apartments on East Harmon Avenue, where police were called to the scene of a double homicide.
