On the evening of April 11, 2015, in North Las Vegas, 36-year-old Tyrone Ford, a Black/African American man, was found lifeless on a sidewalk in the 800 block of Cartier Avenue, near Interstate 15 and Carey Avenue. He had sustained at least one gunshot wound. The incident was part of a double shooting that left another man critically injured. Police were called to a second shooting just around the block a few minutes after discovering Ford.
