On March 26, 2016, a tragic incident occurred in the southwest Las Vegas Valley, resulting in the death of 24-year-old Ernesto Alejandro Chacon. The incident took place early Saturday morning in a parking lot located on the 4300 block of South Jones Boulevard, near West Rochelle Avenue. Chacon, who was driving his vehicle, was shot by one of his passengers as he was in the process of parking.
