Do you know who murdered Rashad West? On the late evening of April 20, 2006, a young African-American man named Rashad M. West, aged 22, was fatally shot in Las Vegas, Nevada. The incident occurred at approximately 11:35 p.m. in front of an apartment building located at 1591 Chartered Circle. West had just arrived home with his girlfriend when the tragic event unfolded.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, a suspect was identified as a Black male in his early 20s.
At the time of the shooting, he was reportedly wearing a white t-shirt and a white baseball cap. Law enforcement officials sought assistance from residents of the apartment complex and the public for any information regarding the case.
To date, information regarding any arrests or the definitive identification of the suspect has not been made publicly available. The case was highlighted by the LVMPD Homicide Section as they continued to seek information to bring resolution to the killing of Rashad West. An obituary for West noted his death on April 21, 2006, and listed him as a laborer from North Las Vegas.
