On the evening of March 4, 2017, a tragedy unfolded in Las Vegas that ended the life of 42-year-old Black / African American male, Dionne Sherfield. The incident occurred at approximately 8:30 p.m. outside an apartment building located at 817 W. Lake Mead Blvd. Sherfield was standing outside when he was struck by multiple gunshots. The sound of gunfire shattered the night, and a dark-colored SUV with large rims was seen speeding away from the area immediately following the shooting.
