On May 25, 2017, Marcus M. Collins, a 39-year-old man from Las Vegas, Nevada, was fatally shot at a residence in the Shelter Island Apartments, located at 3770 Swenson St. in the central Las Vegas Valley. The incident occurred around noon, and it is believed to be linked to a burglary and an attempted drug purchase.
