On October 1, 2017, Adrian Allan Murfitt, a 35-year-old commercial fisherman from Anchorage, Alaska, lost his life in the devastating mass shooting at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas, Nevada. Murfitt was among the thousands of attendees at the outdoor country music event, which was in its final night featuring a performance by Jason Aldean.
