In the winter of 2018, a dispute over the volume of music tragically cut short the life of a 35-year-old Black man, Jamar Jermaine Taylor. The fatal encounter unfolded on January 16th in the parking lot of the Kensington Suites, a long-term rental property on West Bonanza Road in Las Vegas, Nevada. On that Tuesday, Taylor was enjoying music from his vehicle, a simple act that would unexpectedly lead to a violent confrontation.
