On the evening of February 11, 2018, in Las Vegas, Nevada, a young Black/African American man named Kenyon Tyler, aged 26, was fatally shot. The incident occurred around 8:40 p.m. on the 2600 block of Van Patten Street, near Sahara Avenue and Paradise Road. Police believe the shooting stemmed from an altercation over a drug sale and had connections to gang activity. Tyler was discovered on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds.
