In the warm evening of July 5, 2018, in a southeastern Las Vegas Valley neighborhood, a violent encounter forever altered the lives of the Gonzalez-Campos family. That night, just after 10 p.m. on the 5000 block of Mountain Vista Street, near Tropicana Avenue, 32-year-old Miguel Gonzalez-Campos, a Hispanic male of Peruvian descent, was with his two brothers, Chris and Steven Campos, when gunfire erupted.
