In the pre-dawn hours of a Saturday in central Las Vegas, the life of a 15-year-old male named Gino Williams was brought to a violent and tragic end. On November 16, 2019, at approximately 12:30 a.m., officers from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to a call at the intersection of Casada Way and Torrey Pines Drive. There, they found Gino Williams, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
The Clark County coroner's office later officially ruled his death a homicide.
Based on their initial investigation, police believe the fatal encounter was the result of a drug deal that had gone wrong. It appears the confrontation began near the intersection, where Gino was first shot. He then attempted to escape his attacker or attackers by running into a nearby alleyway adjacent to an apartment complex on Casada, where he was shot again.
In the immediate aftermath of the shooting, law enforcement had not yet identified any suspects, and no arrests had been made in connection with the killing. A search of online news sources in the years that have followed has not revealed any subsequent updates regarding arrests or the identification of any suspects in the death of Gino Williams.
