Sixteen-year-old Michael Patrick "Mikey" Huber, a sophomore at Damonte Ranch High School, was found deceased in his home on March 4, 2020, the victim of a shocking act of violence that also claimed the lives of his entire family.
Mikey, who was born on February 18, 2004, was known for his quiet nature, dry humor, and quick wit.
He was a cherished son, brother, and friend who enjoyed playing chess and Dungeons and Dragons. He shared a close bond with his 17-year-old brother, Adam John "AJ" Huber. The two boys, along with their parents, were a family unit that, from the outside, appeared to be without any known issues or prior calls to their residence.
The horrifying discovery was made after friends and family grew concerned, having been unable to contact the Huber family for several days. A welfare check by police led them to the family's home, where they found the bodies of Mikey, his brother AJ, his 50-year-old father Adam Huber, and his 53-year-old mother Joan Huber.
