On the night of January 2, 2021, a house party in northeast Las Vegas turned tragic, ending the life of 20-year-old Marquinn Hilliard. The young Black man had only been at the gathering on Dunsbach Way for less than 15 minutes before violence erupted. Around 9:45 p.m., the sounds of celebration were pierced by gunfire, prompting more than a dozen calls to law enforcement.
