On a hot August day in Las Vegas, a foul odor emanating from a white BMW parked at a Budget Suites on Tropicana Avenue led to a grim discovery. On August 19, 2022, police found the body of a man, later identified as 41-year-old Amir Haggi, in the trunk of the vehicle. An investigation by the Clark County Coroner's office would later determine that he had died from gunshot wounds to the head, and his death was ruled a homicide.
