In the autumn of 1970, a sense of unease settled over a quiet Denver neighborhood. On the afternoon of October 6th, the tranquility was shattered when police responded to a call for a medical emergency at the residence of 43-year-old Helen Beckam. Inside her home at 6631 East 24th Avenue, a grim discovery awaited the responding officers. Helen Beckam, a female, was found deceased, having been fatally shot.
