In the autumn of 1970, the life of 18-year-old Marianne Weaver was tragically cut short in a crime that continues to haunt the city of Denver. On October 13th, the young woman was found murdered in her friend's apartment, the victim of a fatal gunshot wound. There is no information available regarding her ethnicity. The grim discovery was made inside a sprawling mansion that had been converted into tenement-style apartments, a building that would later become known as the Lumber Baron Inn.
