One man was shot and killed Thursday night after he and a friend were asked if either went by a certain nickname, according to Phoenix police.

James Finn, 38, and an unknown male, 50, were walking near 27th Avenue and Indian School Road at about 11 p.m. when two men in their 50s in a silver Sedan pulled up to them. One of the men left the vehicle and asked Finn if he went by "Ohio," according to police.
