In the late evening of July 31, 1975, the life of Harry M. Rose, a 53-year-old Black male, was tragically cut short on a street in Denver, Colorado. Though he resided in Omaha, Nebraska, Rose frequently visited Denver to spend time with his friends and family. On this particular night, he was found shot to death near the intersection of East 34th Avenue and Humboldt Street.
The Denver Police Department opened a homicide investigation into Rose's death, but the case has remained unsolved
for decades. To this day, no arrests have been made, and no suspects have been publicly identified in connection with his murder. The circumstances surrounding the shooting and what led to the violent encounter remain a mystery.
The case of Harry M. Rose is now considered a cold case. Law enforcement officials continue to seek information from the public that might lead to a breakthrough in the investigation and bring those responsible for his death to justice. A reward of up to $2,000 has been offered for information that leads to the arrest and prosecution of the person or persons involved.
