On the afternoon of May 29, 1976, members of the Denver Police Department responded to a report of a shooting at a residence located in the Baker neighborhood of Denver, Colorado. Upon arriving at the scene, 58 W. Irvington Place, the officers found 47-year-old Cecil Richards and his roommate, Billie E. Harris, shot to death inside their home.
