On October 19, 2014, 18-year-old Alexandria Imani Burgos was tragically killed by a stray bullet while inside an apartment in the Belmont Cragin neighborhood of Chicago. Alexandria had gone to pick up her younger brother from a small birthday gathering when the fatal incident occurred. She was standing in the kitchen of the apartment when a bullet fired from outside entered the home, striking and killing her instantly. Despite efforts by her family to find answers, her case remains unsolved.
