In the late evening of January 15th, 1983, a quiet night for 24-year-old Russell Clark and his new wife at their central Denver home was irrevocably shattered. A sudden noise at their door prompted Russell to answer, leading to a fatal confrontation with an unknown man. A physical struggle broke out immediately, and in the ensuing chaos, the intruder shot and killed Russell.
