In the line of duty, 33-year-old Hugh Allan Martin, a White / Caucasian male, lost his life on the evening of April 13, 1992, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. A deputy with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office, Martin was leading a SWAT team during a high-risk, no-knock drug search at a residence on Western Drive. As the team made their entry into the house of a suspected drug dealer, the occupant opened fire.
