On the evening of December 16, 1993, Stephen Nieto, a 27-year-old resident of Denver, Colorado, was walking home when a tragic and fatal encounter occurred. Stephen and his friend were confronted by an unknown suspect, leading to a confrontation that ended in gunfire. During this confrontation, the unknown suspect shot Stephen Nieto, and then promptly fled the scene.
