On December 26, 1994, 23-year-old Melvin Henderson was fatally shot outside Paul's Liquors, located in the 1100 block of East Colfax Avenue in Denver, Colorado. The incident occurred during an argument between Henderson and three unidentified men. During the confrontation, one of the men drew a firearm and shot Henderson multiple times. The assailants then fled the scene in a black four-door vehicle.
