On a cold December evening in Denver, Colorado, just a day after Christmas in 1994, a young man's life was tragically cut short. Melvin Henderson, a 23-year-old Black man, was outside of Paul's Liquors in the 1100 block of East Colfax Avenue when an argument erupted between him and three other men. The nature of the dispute remains unknown, but it escalated with devastating speed.
