On a cold winter night in Denver, on January 13, 1996, the life of 30-year-old Andrew Gallegos was tragically cut short. In the parking lot of the Purple Turtle, located in the 4900 block of West Colfax Avenue, an altercation escalated to fatal violence. Gallegos, a white male, and another individual were involved in a dispute with a third person when the situation took a deadly turn.
