In the early morning hours of August 4, 2020, a shooting in Denver's East Colfax neighborhood claimed the life of 23-year-old Khari Johnson. The incident occurred around 4 a.m. in the 1500 block of North Valentia Street. Johnson, a male, was transported to a local hospital after being shot, but he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
