In the crisp late autumn of 1996, a life was abruptly ended in Denver, Colorado. Eladio Mijango, a 46-year-old Hispanic male, was the victim of a fatal shooting on November 9th of that year. The incident unfolded in the 2100 block of California Street, where police officers were dispatched following a report of gunfire.
Upon their arrival at the scene, officers discovered Mr. Mijango seated in his vehicle. He had sustained a gunshot wound which proved to be fatal.
The initial investigation into the shooting yielded few answers, and in the immediate aftermath, law enforcement officials were unable to identify any suspects in connection with the crime.
