In the crisp late autumn of 1996, a life was abruptly ended in Denver, Colorado. Eladio Mijango, a 46-year-old Hispanic male, was the victim of a fatal shooting on November 9th of that year. The incident unfolded in the 2100 block of California Street, where police officers were dispatched following a report of gunfire.
